Designs Data Network Solutions that ensure the effective connectivity for the respective locations on the Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs) that service the business needs of the Companys DC and corporate IT.
Reporting to: IT Operations
Responsibilities:
Designs, secures approval for, and gives operational effect to systems and procedures that ensure the effective connectivity for the respective locations on the Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) that service the business needs of the Company.
Designs and implements systems and procedures for network redundancies for the LANs and WANs to ensure effective and immediate back-up facilities in the event of link failures.
Reviews system performance continuously in order to identify opportunities for systems enhancements and upgrades that stretch and exploit the full potential of the Companys existing technological capability.
Monitors the continuing performance of the hardware modules to ensure optimum operating status and to troubleshoot problems.
Designs and implements Internet connectivity solutions that ensure external interfaces provide integrity and security against unauthorised entry to internal systems.
Sets up access and operational procedures for the Companys current NT domains and plans and supervises the activities of the Administrator.
Keeps informed of technological advances and industry best practices in order to assess their possible adaptation for use in increasing the Companys technological superiority.

Requirements:
Formal Education:
4 years bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Training:
Industry known certificates such as CCNP, CCIE.
Security certification such as CCISP
Special/Additional Qualifications:
Solid experience supporting large scale servers network environments spread geographically
Fully capable of working with a variety of information technology systems topics
Supervisory, team leadership potential.
Excellent written and oral English skills.
Strong planning, analytical and problem solving skills
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in the areas of routers, switches servers and internet operations.
In-depth knowledge and experience in implementing data communication and networks technologies in large enterprise organizations with at least 5 years experience.
