Improve quality of assigned products/projects to meet/exceed stake holders expectations, and constantly assist in improving the standard of the division
Key Accountability Areas
1. Product Owner to ensure smooth execution and delivery of products that meet or exceed Line of Business (LOB) owners needs and expectations
Work closely with the respective LOB owners to improve quality of the product(s) to meet, if not exceed, market and LOBs demands
Ensure that for the product(s) assigned, issues and/or change requests are addressed to the satisfaction of LOB owners
2. Adoption of PM processes, with key deliverables:
Initiation
Project Charter (to be signed-off) to acknowledge project, with brief description, approach, estimated / rough timeline
Planning
Project Kickoff to confirm scope, propose approach, timeline & key milestones, deliverables, key team and communication protocol, challenges, assumptions
Status Updates updates on progress status, challenges, follow-up required
Closing
Project Debrief to team
Project Closure (signoff from users)
3. Application and Enforcement of Project Management activities & processes (Resource Integration, Scope, Time, Quality, Cost, Communication, Risk, and Procurement Management) to ensure successful completion of the project success in terms of:
Quality of deliverables
Timeliness of deliverables
Completeness in meeting business requirements
Protecting Intellectual Property through ensuring retention of knowledge and minimizing loss of information
4. Central point of coordination for a project, pooling together numerous parties to bring about project success. The various parties include:
Business Analyst (BA) Team to gather:
- Tasks timeline for preparation of business / functional / non-functional requirements, and timely delivery of these
- Clear documentation of the above requirements
- Clarification of the above requirements
- Resource Manager to ensure availability of Developers
QA Leader (QAL) to gather:
- Tasks timeline SIT & UAT
5. User Management to manage the expectations of the LOB owners and the BA team, through:
Project Kickoff officially kick off a formal project
Status updates
- No unnecessary surprises
- Proper escalation when required
- Regular updates, throughout the span of the project, from initiation to closure
6. Divisions Growth to contribute to long-term growth of the team:
provide guidance to fellow team members including end users
continually improve PMO best practices
Other Duties & Responsibilities
To collaborate with Service Support Team and BA Team to provide timely addressing of issues (3rd level support) in relation to the assigned product(s), to meet business operational requirements
To work closely with BA Team and provide assistance in completion of business / functional / non-functional requirements in order for timely delivery of work items
To work closely with Resource Manager to ensure timely deployment of necessary project resources
To provide key users training and implement training initiatives for other users in the region
Qualifications
(A) Education
Degree Holder in Computer Science / Information Systems (or equivalent) from renowned university, with good results preferred
Certification in the relevant technologies and skill-sets, especially for Project Management, is a plus
(B) Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in enterprise application development, preferably in media or advertising industry
Minimum 2 years of PM experience in application development in the above-stated industries. Experience with PMBOK Project Management methodology & processes important
(C) Knowledge
Understanding and awareness of development languages
Some knowledge of HTML, XML, SQL, VB Studio, C#, ASP, C#, ASP.Net, Stored Procedures, Javascript or Java/J2EE preferred but not essential
(D) Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Able to work in a dynamic and ever-changing industry
Able to manage a team and cultivate team cohesiveness and teamwork
Able to effectively lead a team and solve problems
