Job Responsibilities:
The role will be based in Hong Kong as part of the small initial team “starting up” and building the Hong Kong office. The Account Manager will be required to work in a small team, be flexible and will be required to undertake many & varied tasks other and above the responsibilities described below.
1. To plan, schedule and manage the daily workflow for the group, ensuring coverage of all major clients to ensure records are kept up to date. Liaise frequently with Account Managers to ensure all aspects of servicing the client are kept up to date and to provide workable solutions to problems. To maintain positive client relations, and to help generate new business.
2. To supervise staff and to provide a detailed review of their work in accordance with established procedure. To provide training to staff and contribute to their development and performance evaluations.
3. To remain informed of applicable regulatory changes and of new industry and competitor’s developments and ideas, to meet any filing deadlines, and liaise with the Central Bank and Irish Stock Exchange. To make recommendations for appropriate changes to internal operational procedures.
4. Preparation of year end and semi annual accounts in accordance with the relevant accounting Standards.
5. To develop, implement and maintain appropriate controls within his/her area of responsibility.
6. To control the set up and implementation of new clients introduced into the Group. To assign appropriate staff and ensure staff assigned are aware of clients needs. To monitor time spent on clients as compared to agreed upon budgeted time.
7. To complete special projects and to perform other duties as directed.
Job Requirements:
Ideally the candidate should have an Accountancy Qualification, working in the Fund Administration Industry for a number of years in a similar role. The candidate will report directly to the Vice President and may be called upon to meet potential clients and sell BISYS Hedge Fund Services as a company.
They should also have experience in managing client relations and a team of staff, performing an assessment of them on a regular basis and provide development plans.
