Job details A leading investment bank is looking for Regional Hub Head to run the Global Shareholding part of their compliance function. Strong regulatory judgement, excellent project management and solid management skills are a must for this attractive role. The Group Shareholder Reporting Programme (GSP) is a “run the bank” process, designed to discharge the banks global obligations for reporting its aggregated shareholdings in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements in all relevant jurisdictions and across all Business Groups.

As the APAC regional hub head, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient discharge of shareholder reporting obligations in the jurisdictions allocated to the hub in accordance with the GSP Group policy.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that the team is organized and supported to enable them to monitor and analyse all alerts on a daily basis and make the appropriate disclosures accurately within the timeframe required
• Representing the hub in the governance activities on the programme and contribute to the shaping of policy on the programme through the GSP OC, the MRC and any other relevant forum
• Ensuring that the hub is up to date with regulatory developments in the jurisdictions under its control and that those requirements are correctly reflected in GSP
• Ensuring that the procedures reflecting the regulatory requirements, the disclosure and monitoring processes for each of the covered markets, are updated and accurately maintained
• Actively contribute to the governance of the programme through adherence to agreed global processes and working methodologies as well as active participation in cross programme governance structures and activities
• Actively seek out, devise and implement efficiency measures within the tolerable risk appetite of the firm


The ideal candidate will have the following requisites:

• Excellent regulatory knowledge / context necessary to interpret the relevant laws and regulations successfully, and the stature to liaise with regulators where required.

• Very good operational abilities, including those relating to operational process, risk and control. Clarity of thought and quality of output are absolute essentials.

• Proven track record in people management. The ability to build agreement among project team members, grow a unified approach and persuade a regional team to engage and execute continuously to a high standard are essential

• Articulate with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organised, detailed oriented together with the passion and drive for continuous improvement
