Our client is a well respected financial institution and they are presently seeking a senior lawyer to head and manage their Hong Kong legal team. The successful candidate would be expected to provide a full range of advice and support directly to the business units and regional senior management on legal issues particularly in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, and will be required to supervise and mentor staff in an existing legal department. Applications will be considered from lawyers with over 8 years PQE who possess broad banking and finance experience gained in an international firm or senior in house position. Excellent communication skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude are essential for the role and previous management and/or supervisory experience would be preferred. Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin language ability is essential for the role and candidates would be expected to be able to negotiate and review documents in Mandarin.
