This leading top ten UK practice is looking for a senior associate/consultant/partner to join its Shanghai office and form part of its China IP team.
The position requires someone who has extensive experience in PRC intellectual property laws and procedure, in particular in the life sciences and TMT areas. The ideal candidate will have gained such experience at a local or international firm in China and will have experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Candidates who have experience of litigating patents in China will be preferred.
Our client is looking for a candidate with the ability to supervise and provide on the job training for junior team members, who can deal with clients directly and who will be able to manage and develop the practice, working closely with both the Hong Kong and London offices. The candidate will be highly motivated and must have a track record of business development.
An excellent academic background is a pre-requisite and a scientific background would be preferable. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin and be able to read/write Chinese and have a fluent level of English.
