Our client is a well respected Hedge Fund and due to continued growth they are presently seeking a compliance manager for their Hong Kong regional office. The successful candidate will be the sole compliance officer for their Asian operations and as such will be responsible for the development and implementation of compliance monitoring programmes, and the development of relationships with regional regulatory authorities. Due to the nature of the position, applicants should be confident enough to work autonomously and independently on cross jurisdictional issues. Applications will be considered from candidates who have gained at least five years of compliance experience (ideally within a respected financial institution and/or regulatory authority) and have a working knowledge of a variety of financial products and their regulation in Asia. The client will consider legally qualified candidates without prior hands on compliance exposure if they have prior experience in the regulatory sector.
