Job Description:

- Represent Cisco manufacturing to external suppliers and drives their senior management commodity strategy and support.
- Manage supplier performance and development – ranking and scoring, continuous improvement, and adherence to Cisco requirements – which will lead to a significant impact on revenue.
- Manage supplier performance to meet or exceed Cisco Systems Quality, Cost and Delivery requirements.
- Global Commodity Strategy - integrate business, technical and financial requirements.
- Assess supplier risk/component risk rating and identify mitigation plans and recommend alternatives.
- Sustain cost ownership (negotiations, splits, cost reductions).
- Industry trends and market intelligence.
- Global Contracts ownership.
- Manages appropriate escalations as necessary.
- Primary interface to external suppliers.
- Accountable for the overall business partnership.

Required skills and ability:

- Excellent communication skills (presentation, written, verbal) of both technical and non-technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of supplier management, commodity industry knowledge.
- Typically manages projects of $100-400M in projected revenue. Projects may cross multiple BUs.
- Extensive business strategy knowledge and implementation knowledge; capable of influencing internal decision makers to make decisions aligned with strategies and objectives benefiting the entire organization
- Strong team building skills to build bridges between different functional areas
- Significant and diverse management experience preferred
- Help internal teams understand needs of other groups and uses business and technical expertise to develop collaborative solutions
- Demonstrate record of decision making on complex programs, conflict resolution, maintaining deadlines and leadership across organizations
- Experiences in fabless model dealing with companies like TSMC, UMC, AMKOR & ASE

Education:
- BS or BA degree in engineering, operations research, finance or other technical fields plus 10+ years manufacturing experience.
- MS degree preferred.
