A large international consulting firm are currently recruiting for a Principal Structural Engineer to join their busy Doha office. You will play a lead role in their expanding and varied workload.
The Principal Engineer will be expected to act as the lead structural designer on a variety of building commissions primarily in high rise, commercial and residential areas, although the workload is diverse in nature.
The Principal Engineer will be working within a multi-disciplinary design environment, which is the key to the success of the delivery of the majority of the workload.
The Engineer will be able to progress and submit designs with internal and external Architects, Building Services Engineers and Quantity Surveyors in addition to other Structural Engineering team members.
You must be able to check others' work within a Quality Management System environment. Will be expected to provide plans of work for sections within the team to deliver within budgetary restraints and to meet with Clients, Project Managers, Architects and other construction professionals.
You will be a competent building structures designer and must possess relevant Structural and/or Civil Engineering qualifications.
Excellent knowledge of structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, Masonry, timber and underground drainage design to current Middle East standards is essential.
Excellent communication skills is a must also, written and spoken English is essential as is the ability to work well in a team environment.
