Job details Desktop Support Technician (Level 2)

Location: Singapore

Full-time position – Immediately available!

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Desktop Support Technician (Level 2) that will provide the escalated level of support for one of its clients. The Desktop Support Technician will work on-site at one of our client’s facilities and provide support for hardware, software and applications as needed for corporate users in a hi-tech environment. The individual will be troubleshooting issues with all Windows Operating System and will need to poses the following qualifications and skills:

Job Qualifications

• Experienced with escalating tickets to Level 3 when unable to resolve.
• Ability to move tickets to other and categorize within the different fields of IT. (i.e. Network Support, Desktop Support, Server Support, etc.)
• Skillful with troubleshooting and working with all Windows Operating Systems: XP, 2000 and 98.
• Some familiarity troubleshooting and working with Linux operating systems.
• Advanced understanding of troubleshooting networking and TCP/IP configurations with a network environment that has multiple VLANS.
• Experience with hubs, switches and routers.
• Able to troubleshoot, resolve, and provide resolution for issues.
• Advanced understanding of software related issues with the Windows platform.
• Familiar with vendor management regarding service parts and system RMA’s.
• MCSE certification preferred.
• Must have worked in an exchange environment verses POP email environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to work well under pressure and short deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
