Qualcon, Inc. provides vendor surveillance inspection and expediting services throughout the US and Internationally.
Qualcon currently has a need for an individual to act as the Client Representative by performing periodic audit/inspection visitation to a valve fabricator shop in Suzhou, China.
Scope of position:
The individual would audit/inspect the effectiveness and thoroughness of existing day to day location inspection personnel and fabricators in-house inspectors, verify full compliance to the inspection and test plan activity requirements, as well as, review the production progress reporting during each visit. The individual would also flag and report any other issue observed which could affect the supply source quality activities including scheduling.
This position requires that the individual be a strong, management type with integrity who will take ownership.
Expectation is that the individual would perform one visit per month with approximately two days each visit, but there is a prospect that this will increase in activity to possibly full time in the future.
The individual would be reimbursed for transport, accommodation (if an overnight stay is required), and meals.
Qualifications/certifications of position:
The candidate must possess CWI qualifications/certifications having work experience in welding inspection, specifically pipe and structural steel.
The candidate must have knowledge/experience in ASME and AWS D1.1, Radiographic Testing (RT) and NDT method qualifications/certifications.
QA documentation and Shell specifications knowledge/experience a plus.
The individual must be based in China and must be proficient in English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
